After 6 EEYSL races,
the final 2006 team point standings left two teams, SSRA and SARS
only 158 points apart. It was truly a battle of two powerful teams;
each claiming 7 individual titles along the way.
With
the new EEYSL team scoring system, adopted this year, utlizes world
cup points (1st-100, 2nd-80, 3rd-60, 4th-50, 5th-45, 6th-40, 7th-36,
8th-32, 9th-29, 10th-26, 11th-24, 12th-22, 13th-20, 14th-18, 15th-16,
14th-15...........30th-1). The team race took on new meaning as
both performance and participation were rewarded. Most of all, it
took on a great deal of excitement!

to each SSRA athlete for closing the gap and making this team competition
come down to the wire! You'll get 'em next year!!
